My curational work is mainly tied to my position as an educational officer at the State Academy in Berlin, as well as the Berlin Music Commision’s conference and event formats. Below is a selection of some of the bigger projects I did in that capacity.

Most Wanted: Music Research was established as a new conference track of Most Wanted: Music especially aimed at artists, practitioners and researchers. It features both longstanding research-industry collaborations between the Berlin Music Commission and the Gesellschaft für Musikwirtschafts- und Musikkulturforschung, TU Berlin, and others, adding an international speaker line-up curated from a call for participation targeted towards the areas of music business, music culture, music tech, and music education. Proceedings can be found here, more general information and programme notes here.

This is a new conference where we invite keynote speeches, workshops and project presentations once a year and organice networking formats around the topic of Community Music. The topic is in high demand and we try to expand on the offers at the State Academy of Berlin in the area of further education in collaboration with the academic sector. Here are the programme notes of 2024 and 2025.

As an early team member at Most Wanted: Music (MW:M), I headed the programme team for curating the 3-day event which started with 200 attendees, not at 4000 attendees and various sub-conferences and satellite events. The conference features around 80 single events with around 160 national and international speakers from the music industries and has grown Berlin’s go-to networking event for music business and technologies.
