This page gives an overview of selected works and projects, spanning from musical compositions, media productions, compositional designs for participatory performance, as well as curational works for labs, conferences, and educational institutions.

Roles: Composer, System Creator

This interactive composition suggests a tactile approach to exploring machine learning models collaboratively in real-time. The system design is a work-in-progress and at this stage connects three handheld, spherical devices (sound balls) to three machine learning models. The sound balls are equipped with pressure sensors and gyroscopes, that are sending readings via an ESP32 via OSC over WiFi to a Max/MSP patch that is hosting the model playback. The patch uses different open-source and self-trained models that are then mixed into a master playback audible via headphones by the three sound ball players, who will explore the models via a latent dimension setup collaboratively.

I developed the sound balls in 2024 and 2025 with the idea of a co-creative instrument that can be used for audiences or smaller groups of performers to collaborate creatively.

Roles: Compositional Designer, System Creator, Researcher

As part of my research, we created two interactive concerts in collaboration with chiptune artist Kubbi and a light designer. Those shows afforded audience members to access the music production tools on site in the concert venue and investigated the co-creative potential of different interactive modes, especially for the field of electronic live music, using log data analysis, body sensors, questionnaires and post-show interviews with performers and audience members. The video shows a playlist of the three different participatory modes that were composed for the performer-audience interaction.

Roles: Compositional Designer, System Creator, Researcher

This concert was a performance of Kubbi with a participatory setup implemented in Max/MSP, using the audience members’ personal smartphones. The pictures show screenshots of the interaction software. The video shows a playlist of the interactive modes of this participatory work.

Roles: Composer, Performer

In a more recent project I duo with a guitar player and electronic music producer with a setup for improvised live electronics and connected my Musser vibraphone to a modular case. Since the last three years I solder the modules partly myself and experiment with connecting electronic devices to mallet instruments.

Roles: Recording Engineer, Mixing Engineer, Producer

I produced this 5-piece instrumental world music ensemble in the studios of the Producer University of the Arts in Berlin together with a sound operator. The recording design including room and microphone setup was created in a way the band could play simultaneously over three recording rooms. After finishing voice recording, overdubs and re-amplification I mixed the album integrating instrumental and voice samples of featured artists from different countries before handing it over to mastering. The album I produced can be found here. I also contributed a vibraphone feature on a later album in 2018.

Roles: Creator, Project Lead

This project was created out of the finding that musical artists lack support at the beginning of their careers as they are working with limited budget and networks. The idea behind it is to connect musical artists to students from creative fields (music production, design, film, games etc.) as well as management students looking for references. A programme including mentors and common events was created around a small project team. More info can be found here.

Roles: Film Composer, Sound Designer, Recording Engineer, Mixing Engineer, Performer

During graduate studies I got involved in film music production and wrote scores for several of short films, adverts and games. The production A.D. 235 was the most prominent one as it was a full length feature film. I wrote all music including orchestra arrangements, recordings of choir and solo instruments and created the final mixes. It is playing in the ancient Roman Empire so I worked with a lot of traditional instruments like the Armenian Nai flute, sitars and ancient percussion instruments. I had a production studio for 6 months for this project.

Roles: Film Composer, Sound Designer, Recording Engineer, Mixing Engineer, Performer

Zentralbahnhof was my first work as a film composer. The main themes are scores for grand piano and cello, but it also includes various synthesizers and foley recordings. I also did the sound design for the movie.

Roles: Voice Director, Producer

The feature is about Hif – a musician from the Congo who lives in Germany. In the Congo, he played in the president’s band until fate drove him to seek asylum in Germany. The feature explores the flight of an innocent man from the Congo to Germany, the musical work of an African artist in Germany, and the background of a totalitarian regime.

Roles: Songwriter, Arranger, Performer

During undergraduate studies I co-founded the reggae ensemble Dreadnut Inc. and wrote Arranger songs together with the lead singer. I arranged the melodies for a 4-piece horn section consisting of trumpet, alt saxophone, tenor saxophone and trombone. I did the section arrangements and played the tenor saxophone on the band’s concert and festival gigs. Some songs can be found here.
